Ito ay isang mahalagang hakbang upang mapanatili ang likas na yaman ng lugar, alinsunod sa mga prinsipyo ng konserbasyon at tamang paggamit ng lupa. Sa masusing pagsusuri ng mga kasunduan, titiyakin ng DENR ang pangmatagalang proteksyon ng Masungi at iba pang mahalagang ekosistema.
