Watching TV in the 80s was pretty simple. You didn’t need cable, only an antenna. We had 3 major TV networks to choose from in the U.S.: ABC, CBS and NBC, and we all gathered around the TV as a family each night to watch the same show. Most homes had one TV in the family room. If you missed a show, you had to wait for it to air again as a rerun, which was usually in the summer. We had less choices of what to watch, yet we were happy.
