Finals at the Extreme Cowboy World Championship in the Open Mule Division. I am happy with my performance. It has been 11 years since I have competed at this level. I am extremely motivated to better myself, my health, and my horsemanship. I have never rode double on my mule. I called a trainer, a mule packer, and my veterinarian to see if I needed to skip that obstacle. The unanimous recommendation was to not skip it, and go slow. The mule packer said that a mule will just lay down if they are

Drove through Missouri, Oklahoma, and Texas for the Extreme Cowboy World Championship. It was a long day for sure! Was able to attend a two hour prep clinic with World Champion Lee Hart! I was most definitely ready to hit the hay after this day and the day before. Tomorrow is paperwork and hiking at a state park with dinosaur tracks! #worldchampionship #mule #glenrose #horseobstacles #goalsetting | Brandy Von Holten, Author/Speaker/Instructor

Last month, JoJo(my mule) and I competed in the Extreme Cowboy World Championship and placed 7th in Open Mule Division. Here is the winning final run of the World Championship Pro Division. This cowboy is named Lee Hart. He is the longest returning clinician at our horse trail riding facility (Von Holten Ranch). He has taught a clinic EVERY year since we opened. If you want to visit both he and I, Lee has a clinic in June and September. The June clinic is full but we still have room in the Septe

I placed 7th today for Round 2, in Open Mule at the Extreme Cowboy World Championship. Good ole JoJo did great! Points were lost on my errors. I鈥檓 honored to get to go to finals! JoJo is the main character of my 2nd children鈥檚 book about how you need to find your passion and just go for it. His book also focuses on not focusing on your looks and it matters what鈥檚 inside more. His stegosaurus haircut is part of his book. JoJo life is a life of meet and greets, kid鈥檚 camps, helping people get star

Started early, ended late trying to get ready to leave for the Extreme Cowboy World Championship I鈥檓 competing in with my mule, JoJo. Worked so much my keyboard stopped working, seen a teacher I used to work with, AND saw a BALD EAGLE. I would highly recommend not working like I did in this video. I wanted to have my mind clear for the competition which required almost a 20 hour day from me. Left our house with a magazine edition submitted, zero unanswered emails, bank accounts balanced, analysi

JoJo is a Missouri Foxtrotter mule. I typically use him for mounted archery. We are preparing for the Extreme Cowboy World Championship. The competition doesn鈥檛 separate the cowgirls from the cowboys馃拕. I feel myself getting nervous about competing, so I entered into an extremely difficult competition to push me. I want to meet my fear head on. I love when haters come for me about being fat. In March I was on my 7th magazine cover and we won Missouri鈥檚 Best Ranch the last two years. So before yo
